Who we are
Visit Morocco Map is an interactive map and blog dedicated to discovering the best places to visit in Morocco — monuments, beaches, deserts, medinas, mountains, waterfalls and much more. Whether you travel solo, as a couple or with your family, our goal is to help you find remarkable places and plan your trip with confidence.
Free, forever
The platform is completely free — no paywall, no premium tier, no locked features. Visit Morocco Map is proudly sponsored by Nexorix SARLAU (nexorix.com), a Moroccan technology company specializing in cloud, hosting and artificial intelligence. Their support is what lets us keep the map open and free for everyone.
Built and hosted in Morocco
Unlike most map platforms, Visit Morocco Map runs on infrastructure located in Morocco. The interactive map, its road-routing engine, the base-map tiles and the AI models that help generate and translate content are all hosted locally by Nexorix. That means faster performance for visitors in the region, full independence from foreign providers, and data that stays in Morocco.
Not a replacement for Google Maps — a companion for travelers
We're a large and growing platform, but we don't try to replace Google Maps. We focus on one mission and do it well: tourism in Morocco. Instead of every shop and street, we curate the places that are genuinely worth your time, with travel-oriented details, trip planning and day-by-day itineraries. Because our team and community focus only on Morocco, our tourist information can be more up to date and more relevant than a general-purpose map.
Privacy: no ads, no tracking, no data selling
Free doesn't mean you're the product. We show no ads, we don't track you across the web, and we never sell your data. Photos and locations are served in a protected way to respect contributors and prevent automated scraping. For the details, see our privacy policy.
Built by a community
Much of what makes the map great comes from people who love Morocco. Approved volunteers can suggest new places and corrections through a moderated process, helping the map stay accurate and fresh. If you spot something missing or out of date, you can help improve it.
The technology
We self-host the things that usually depend on big foreign services: our own vector map tiles (rendered specifically for Morocco), our own routing engine for road itineraries, and on-premise AI models for content and translation. It's a deliberately independent stack, run from Morocco.
Languages & roadmap
Visit Morocco Map is fully bilingual today, in English and French, with more languages on the way. We're continually adding places, features and improvements — this is just the beginning.
