1. Who we are

Visit Morocco Map is an interactive map and blog documenting places to visit in Morocco. This policy applies to the website hosted at visitmoroccomap.com.

• Account: when you sign in, our authentication provider (SyAuth) passes us your email address and a user identifier. You may also provide a first and last name in your profile.
• Site activity: ratings, comments, volunteer contributions and photos you submit.
• Technical data: IP address, user agent, Cloudflare headers, request timestamps. This is used for security, rate limiting and diagnostics.
• Cookies: we use cookies for the login session, CSRF protection, the map session token and your theme preference (light/dark).

3. Why we process this data

• To operate and secure the map, blog and volunteer programme.
• To prevent abuse, spam and automated scraping.
• To moderate volunteer submissions before they go live.
• To measure site performance (aggregate load-time analytics).

4. Third parties

• Cloudflare — CDN, attack protection and Turnstile CAPTCHA on contribution forms.
• CartoDB / OpenStreetMap — map tiles rendered on the interactive map.
• SyAuth — our authentication provider.
• Google Fonts — delivers the "Outfit" web font.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

5. Retention

Content you publish (ratings, comments, submissions) is kept while your account is active or as needed to operate the site. Technical logs are retained for at most 30 days.

6. Your rights

You may request access, correction or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below. You can also withdraw a pending volunteer application from your profile panel.
